DISCOVER NAMIBIA MOTORBIKE TOUR (10 DAYS, NO CAMPING)

PREPARATION DAY

Everybody needs to be in Windhoek to meet at 10:00am in the lobby of the Safari Court Hotel (http://www.safarihotelsnamibia.com) where we will stay the night.
We believe that all tours no matter how small needs a preparation day before it starts, this day we get our packing and gear sorted out for the trip. It is essential for us that you know the bike you are going to ride therefore we take you on a small ride so you can acclimatize to your motorbike.
For our clients from over seas we fetch you from the airport and get you settled in your accommodation for the night.
We always include the preparation day into our quoted price for you convenience.

This day is not counted in the tour so the tour only starts tomorrow!

DAY 1

Windhoek to Maltahohe 310km, this is a riding day with everybody getting to grips with the bikes and the gear. The road is flat and the area has a unique mystique to it.
The Maltahohe Hotel is the oldest hotel in Namibia still operating partly in its original building.
The historic hotel was established in 1907 and is located 300 kilometers to the south of Windhoek making it the ideal stop over en route to Sossusvlei, Luederitzbucht, the Diamond Fields or the mighty Fish River Canyon.

DAY 2

Sunset at FISH RIVER CANYON, we will ride 436km today to be at the fish river canyon for a very special sunset over the dessert. This sight is amazing and will definitely be spectacular.
The Fish River Canyon is located the south of Namibia. It is the second largest canyon in the world and the largest in Africa, as well as the second most visited tourist attraction in Namibia. It features a gigantic ravine, in total about 100 miles (160 km) long, up to 27 km wide and in places almost 550 meters deep.

DAY 3

Today we ride 293km to AUS where we will spend two nights between the mountains in a very special place in-between the wild horses as well as other game, the ride is also filled with spectacular views and vistas.
We are going into the bush and this will be the closest to camping you will ever experience.

This will be a definite highlight!!

DAY 4

Today we will take a very nice ride to the very special town of Luderitz and visit the old town as well as the dessert town of Kolmanskuppe. This will be a great experience as we ride trough the Bottom part of the Naukluft Park famous for the wild horses.
All tar for 240km but it is a ride to remember.

DAY 5

We will make an early start to avoid the heat as we are traveling in the dessert today, next to the Namib Naukluft National Park.

Our destination is Sesriem; although we only ride 345km today it will be one of the toughest of the trip as the roads are very loose and challenging. An early start is essential today.

Sossusvlei Lodge, at the entrance gate to the legendary Sossusvlei in the Namib Naukluft Park. Desert Camp offers magnificent 360-degree views over unspoiled nature, the rugged Naukluft Mountains, spectacular granite outcrops, vast desert plains and the red sand dunes of the Namib Desert. For the Budget traveler, this offers true African ambiance.

DAY 6

From Sesriem we will travel towards the coast trough Namib Naukluft National Park, our destination is Swakopmund. We will ride only 347km today also very hard riding, as the roads are very loose. We will cross the tropic of Capricorn today. This is a great ride and wonderful vistas await us, not to mention the cold beer in the Beach bar.

Namib-Naukluft National Park
Picture enormous Lawrence-of-Arabia dunes, vast gravel plains, towering mountain ranges and deep sculptured canyons: your image is the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Covering almost 50,000km², it is one of the largest conservation areas in Africa and an alluring travel destination. It's easy to explore the contrasting landscapes by yourself. The roads are spectacular, so make sure you leave plenty of time to stop, take photographs and have a picnic surrounded by space and silence.

DAY 7

After breakfast we will be leaving for the very famous Spitzkuppe satiated south of UIS, we will be only doing a total of about 168km riding today because of the time we want to spend exploring the wonderful area.
The Spitzkoppe between Usakos and Swakopmund is also described as the "Matterhorn of Namibia". Rising to an altitude of about 1800 meters, the Spitzkoppe is by no means Namibia's highest mountain, however, due to its striking outlines, it is regarded as the most well known mountain in the country. Situated in an endless, dry plain, the island of mountains can be seen from far away.

DAY 8

Today is a long days ride (394km) to Etosha National park where we will spend 2 nights exploring the wonderful park. Included in the tour is a full days game drive with a game drive vehicle.

Etosha means "place of dry water," and the heart of the park is the Etosha pan, an extensive, flat basin about 5000 square kilometers. This great, white expanse is a place of shimmering mirages where large herds of game in this setting make Etosha a unique experience. German Governor von Lindequist established one of the major sanctuaries for wildlife in Africa, Etosha National Park in 1907.  Expert management, the protection of the environment, and carefully controlled size and location of camps and lodges gives visitors the feeling of being truly in the wild. The wide-open spaces make a visit to the park an unforgettable experience.

DAY 9

Game drive in the park, fully catered by the lodge we are staying for the two nights. The lodge is a paradise and we will definitely end the tour of on a high note.

DAY 10

After an early breakfast we will ride the last 400km to Windhoek where we will end the tour, this night we will eat at the famous Joes Beerhouse and celebrate the tour that has ended. This night’s accommodation and the evening meal are also included in the tour.
